Power Up Your SPIRIT
“I assure you: Anyone who hears My word and believes Him who sent Me has eternal life and will not come under judgment but has passed from death to life.”
John 5:24 HCSB
Why do I write a faith-based newsletter that talks about God all the time?
Is it because I can’t write something centred on just work? No.
But I have seen, and experienced God work with me and through me in my work life. I know what it means to do work like I have no one else and to do it like I have backing.
I’ve seen the emotional turmoil that comes with overwork and the rest that comes with trust in God.
I have experienced help through the Holy Spirit and seen myself do things beyond my ability.
I have heard his voice advise me on what to do and seen the benefits of those instructions.
And at the turning point in my life when it looked like I had lost control of myself and my identity and needed help, He showed up and redefined me.
So, this is my way of sharing what I believe. I tell my experiences and learning points so that as you read, you see what I believe and apply some of it in your life.
But the results will be the same – life.
Life in your words, actions, work, and your very existence.
I hope as you read, you apply and share what you know with others.
Hack Your BODY
How can you give life to colleagues at work?
You do this by telling them about the life-giver.
This isn’t about telling them the mystery of eternal life but also sharing how life has been infused into everything you do.
I have shared before how there are words that infuse death and those that give life. You don’t have to be dead to experience death. You also don’t have to be dead to experience the power of eternal life.
If you are a recipient of the life-giving spirit, then you can help someone else be a recipient too by simply sharing how God has helped you.
Let it come up in conversations.
Talk about it when you’re encouraging a distressed colleague.
Share it when you’re asked about how you do exploits.
You’ll liberate someone this way.
If you believe, you can help someone else believe.

“If I were giving advice to someone in my situation in life right now, I would tell them to…”

Imagine someone walked up to you at work and after narrating their story, you realise you’ve experienced what they’re going through. What would you tell them?
Document your success story because one day, very soon, you’ll have to tell it to someone in need.
