You Are A Conduit for God’s Wisdom

“For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.” Matthew 18:20 NKJV

We seem to have unconsciously restricted God to only church and religious matters. So, when we want to have a prayer session, we invite Him so that He works miracles.

But we feel he’s not needed when we brainstorm ideas or, in the context of the anchor scripture, when we need to correct a friend or team member who has done something wrong to us.

I lead a virtual team at my agency, and anytime we meet multiple times a week, we start with prayer. It may seem generic, but it’s our way of acknowledging God’s presence in our decision-making.

This doesn’t mean the meeting will be all rosy and fun. Sometimes, team members have disagreements and make wrong statements. Does this mean God is no longer there? No.

Even when I want to correct a team member or hand over a termination notice, as long as I acknowledge God’s presence before the meeting, He’s there to guide me with what to say.

How can we intentionally acknowledge God’s presence every time?

In Philippians 4:13, the apostle Paul reminds us that we can do all things through Christ, who strengthens us. In other words, there are some things we won’t be able to do if Christ doesn’t strengthen us for them.

But we have established that anytime we need something from the Father and we go through Christ, we receive it.

So, saying a simple prayer in Jesus’ name gives us the strength to brainstorm ideas, complete projects, correct errors, get results, and more.

God doesn’t only strengthen us to do signs and wonders in crusades or other church gatherings. We are also strengthened to make a difference in industries and the lives of those we care about the most.

With this understanding, acknowledging God’s presence is in our best interest because we can only do so much in our strength without Him.

“I work in God’s presence daily.”

We can gather in God’s name anywhere, anytime, to do what He’ll have us do. Doing this gives us the power to do what needs to be done.
