“I tell you, you can pray for anything, and if you believe that you’ve received it, it will be yours.” Mark 11:24 NLT
This is one of the upside-down principles of the kingdom that Jesus taught. It makes sense at first glance once you understand how it works. For the world, seeing is believing. Until it’s right in front of you, it doesn’t exist. For the believer, believing is seeing. Until it exists in your heart, you will not see it.The devil knows how powerful sight is and inverts it for man in Genesis 3:5, “God knows that your eyes will be opened…”By making man think that he was blind, he changed the game, so that we don’t believe that a change has happened until we see it with our eyes. When you wait to see before believing, you give control to external circumstances. You remove yourself from the equation of creativity and manifestation, waiting for someone or something else to make things happen in your life. That’s a defeatist mentality.Believing before seeing is how the Kingdom of God becomes real on earth. You take charge of what happens and what doesn’t. Before others see something with their eyes, you already know it’s there. You become a key decision-maker about what happens on earth. That’s power and authority.
How can we use this upside-down approach as we work?
The first thing to note about believing is that it must be aligned with what God has said. And I tell you, God has said so much that it can last several lifetimes. His Word is eternal. That means we have a foundation from which all our beliefs can grow. We don’t need to manufacture what to believe. We only need to know what He has said and believe it.What do you need at work that God hasn’t already addressed? Whether it’s choosing a strategic partner, finding purpose, identifying your passion, setting product prices, having social impact, taking care of the flock in church, serving in leadership, building a multi-billion-dollar business, or godly parenting, it’s all in His word.He wants us as kings to search the scripture for what we need and lay hold on what we believe so that, in His time, others will see what we have already believed is possible.
“I take back control by having Faith in God’s Word”.
When we wait to see the manifestation of His word before we believe, that is doubt. The enemy wants us to doubt because he knows that we make the wrong decisions when that happens, just like in Eden. So, let’s flip it. Doing life upside-down is the new cool.
