Power Up Your SPIRIT
“His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness.”
2 Peter 1:3 NIV
On LinkedIn, one powerful way to ensure your connection requests get accepted most of the time is to send a personalised message and refer to something that connects you both.
It could be a common group, a mutual connection or similar industries and interests.
That similarity lays the foundation for the rest of the relationship.
This is the same thing spiritually. When we go to God in Jesus’ name, we are indirectly saying, “I know Jesus. You also know Jesus. Let’s connect”.
If you are who you say you are, that connection request will get accepted.
Everything you benefit from that relationship afterwards is linked back to the introduction. As you grow in knowledge of and intimacy with that mutual connection (Jesus), God sees that you are serious and introduces you to more opportunities, connections, and platforms in His network.
In other words, you experience God’s power in your daily life in diverse ways.
So, are you connected to Jesus?

How can we enjoy the benefits of God’s divine power at work?
Even in the secular, His divine power has given you all you need to live a godly life.
With you and God both connected to Jesus, you have a ticket to access the best of the best. But many of us don’t know this.
We are yet to receive what has already been given to us. This happens for several reasons, but I’ll highlight a few:
- We can’t be entrusted with more. No good leader will commit resources into the hands of someone with a history of resource wastage. God has given us more opportunities. But sometimes we repel them.
- We emit negative energy. The law of attraction is a universal law that affects all belief systems. If your thoughts and words are negative, blessings never come visiting.
- We are comfortable with “okay”. The godly life is one of excellence. There are kingdom assignments that must hit the target. Such assignments are reserved for those who have passed several tests of excellence. Have you?
At every level, no matter how “newbie” we are with no experience, we see manifestations of His power in our lives. But like everything else, some realms of physical blessings require growth.
What does your portfolio look like?

I’m sure you have a lot of experience and a robust portfolio. But you’ll be unable to see how blessed you are if you don’t take note of them.
Use this opportunity to outline your strengths and skills, and you’ll see just how much of God’s power has been evident in you.
