“The Lord will open to you His good treasure, the heavens, to give the rain to your land in its season, and to bless all the work of your hand…” Deuteronomy 28:12 NKJV
This is the beginning of a four-part series which I’ll break down over the next three emails. My goal is to show you how to access the Kingdom Blessings of your work. I’m excited about this because I was recently given the privilege to preach in church and I shared this concept which I trust changed the mindsets of those who listened.
When we hear the word “work”, we automatically think, “office”. But that’s a limited way to look at it. An office is just a building, or a work-from-home setup, nothing more.
Work transcends many areas of life. According to the dictionary, “Work” means to perform or carry through a task requiring sustained effort or continuous repeated operations. From this definition, work can mean anything.
Whenever I study scripture, I also enjoy researching the scientific angle to what the scripture says. It gives me a down-to-earth view so I can picture how the word works. Perhaps, it’s because I’m a student of science.
In Physics, Work can be calculated by multiplying Force and Distance in the direction of force.
So, work is not only a place you go to or a place that gives you money. It is anything that requires you to exert force over a given distance or period.
So, your job is only a channel. But when you exalt your job as the only channel, you limit God. You’re unable to see the other channels He can use to bless you.
The truth is you are not limited by what you see in the physical. The physical is only a channel through which the kingdom of God is expressed. Everything you need has been embedded in the code of creation. The Word is the key you need to unlock it.
Understand something – in the bank of the Kingdom, as a child of God, you don’t know your account balance, you only know you are rich.
Now I want you to imagine that you walk into a bank and see three cashiers. The first guy is angrily doing his work and so, he’s unwelcoming. The second lady is pregnant and will take forever to address you. Then the third lady is energetic, excited, and working fast.
Next, imagine you’re the only one in the bank with no queue. It’s just you and you’ve been directed to the pregnant cashier. She’s your channel to access the financial blessings you need. You can stand there and complain, or you can listen to the Holy Spirit when he gives you a strategy to make the pregnant cashier work faster or tells you to move to the energetic cashier.
But here’s what we humans do: we exalt the channel in hand as the only channel. The next day, the bank tells the pregnant cashier to quit work due to her condition and then you walk into the bank but can’t find her. You then sit on the floor and weep because you feel your life is ruined.
Doesn’t that sound stupid? There are two other cashiers who can take your order. But this is exactly how we treat our jobs or businesses. If we get fired, or the business fails, all hope is lost. Change this limited thinking!
You have many options, and if work through one channel fails, then the work you do through another channel can blossom. If you can see the other cashiers behind the counter, you can access your riches in the vault.
With this mindset, you break the boundaries of your mind and open yourself up to the foolish things of God that can make you become the wisest of men.
There are three enhancers that help you attract the blessings of work. In my next email, I’ll reveal the first enhancer. Look out for it.
Today’s Task: What other channels has God used to bless you in your life? Write them down in a journal and ask yourself what work you can do through those channels to keep them active.
Answer this…
“One decision that I could have made last week to make my life better or to move ahead faster would have been…”
Knowing the answer to this is you giving yourself a chance to make the right decision in the future.
