SPIRIT
“Your word is a lamp to my feet And a light to my path.” Psalms 119:105 NKJV
There is a phrase I often said to myself whenever I found myself at a crossroads and it goes, “I never make mistakes because God is with me”. Life experiences have choked that confession from my mouth, but I have decided to revisit it. The anchor scripture, it reminds me of the following:
- God is good. He has provided His word as proof of His goodness and everything we experience radiates that goodness once we choose to trust Him.
- No matter where we choose to go, if we trust in His word, He will direct us. If we move on the wrong path, we can trust Him to redirect our steps.
- The light comes from within. When you choose to be filled with His Spirit, the word directs you from within. It lights up like a lamp in your heart and provides light (clarity) as you walk.
So, keep going.
BODY
How can God’s word as lamp and light help us become exceptional at work?
When you feel tired, remember that God loves rest, so take a nap. Rest recharges us physically so we do good work. You probably have a better relationship with rest than I do, but this is just a reminder to chill sometimes. If in doubt, read Psalms 127:2.
SOUL
“One goal I would love to achieve in the next 12 months is…”
(source: GrowthDay)
We may have just 6 months left in 2023, but who says we are restricted by that? Set a new goal for the next 12 months and get started on it. I know one of my goals is to launch a new passion project. I can’t wait.
