Focus is an English word that has been used to either make people feel guilty or feel responsible.
When you’re trying to “find yourself” by participating in different activities, you’ll be told that you lack focus. In the real sense, you’re actually focused on finding yourself.
When you’re driving a mission through different channels and modes of expression, you’ll be told you lack focus, when really, you’re focused on one mission.
When you have only one job or business and are not involved in any other activity at all, you’re praised for your focus, making the other party running multiple projects look like an entity without direction.
At the end of the day, we’re all running based on instructions we receive directly or indirectly. Take advice, be true to yourself and don’t feel guilty for not being like everyone else.
Today, please “focus on your focus”. I’ll focus on mine. What does focus mean to you?
