Power Up Your SPIRIT
“The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands.”
Psalms 19:1 NIV
How would you feel if, each time someone looked at something you made, they always found a new reason to exclaim?
You don’t have to create the world to get this effect.
Maybe it’s a movie script you wrote, and the director can’t get enough of the story.
Or perhaps it’s a business plan you created for a client, and each time they look at it, they marvel at the attention to detail and the new ideas that spring up.
Or you’re so good at making pancakes that each time your kids remember the previous one you made, you see them savour the experience in their mouths and jump at you, asking for more.
God has placed the Spirit of creative excellence within us all. If you marvel every time you look at nature and take it in, then we can also create the same effect with our work.
People should know that we serve an excellent God from the excellence we put out into the world.
We must regularly look within and ask God to empower our creative spirit so that our work will also glorify, and not ridicule, His name.
Hack Your BODY
How can we properly leverage the creative spirit within us to do excellent work?
The first question is what can the creative spirit within us do?
The answer: it can do anything.
I believe the only limitation we have is time and that’s because the body is constrained by it. Remove time and the Spirit will find expression without boundaries.
But we can’t remove time, at least not yet. So, how can we work with time to do limitless work?
We must intentionally be 1% better than we were yesterday. Not comparing ourselves to our peers or those ahead of us but to our growth level of yesterday.
1% is given as a standard figure because it is manageable and removes the pressure of perfection.
You only need to find a creative source you can plug into daily to make that 1% growth a reality.
Grow Your SOUL
“If I were going to develop real mastery of specific skills in my life or career, I would have to start learning and mastering these things…”

Taking notes about your growth trajectory is an example of intentional living. You can’t become 1% better every day by keeping everything in your head.
Identify what you need to get better at, and set up a system to engineer that growth. That system can be a course you take or a habit you develop. Set things in motion today.
