Take A Daily Dose Of Faith As You Work

“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” Hebrews 11:1 NKJV

The presence of systems helps us as humans to believe in the result of whatever that system is to produce.

For example;

• In an organisation with a reliable system for paying employees, we believe that once we go to work and do the work, we get paid.
• In a reliable educational system, we believe that when we go to school, we will leave with a certificate.
• In a reliable financial system, we believe that when we invest, we get dividends.
• In a reliable business model, we believe that when we build the right way, we generate revenue and profit.

This belief is usually strong especially when we see it work overtime. This is also why people protest, create their own systems or flee from a place with no reliable system.

The bottom line is we need something to trust in.

There are also long-term life systems where somewhere in our minds, we just believe that we have a future and if we put in a certain kind of effort today, we’ll get a certain kind of future.

Unfortunately, like every system whether man-made or divine, there are also detours and conditions to consider.

• When you get laid off as an employee, or your organisation declares bankruptcy, the system of receiving a paycheck stops working for you.
• When a child becomes a victim of random gun shooting, bullying or drops out of school, the system of getting an educational degree and certificate stops.
• When markets crash, like crypto, investments stop leading to dividends.
• When you lose passion for the business you’re building, or you mismanage funds, the business fails to generate revenue and profit.

It is occurrences like this that make me realise that nothing really works without faith.

Faith says that no matter what the detours or conditions might be, the system will work for me and I will get my results. It is like a bridge that gives you a guarantee that you’ll get to the other side.

But the last thing you want to do is have faith in the system. The system can fail. But God who created these systems can make tweaks where necessary.

He can lead you to a new job just before your current organisation folds up.

He can cause you to feel sick and stay home on a day that something negative occurs at school.

He can lead you to sell your stocks just before the market crashes.

He can connect you to the right mentor, partner or employee you need for your business to grow.

Systems will fail, but God won’t because He knows how to shuffle the cards in your favour.

So every day you put in the work, trusting that you’ll get that future you desire, have some faith in God, not the system.
