Solve Your Own Jigsaw Puzzle

John Spilsbury, the creator of the Jigsaw puzzle, must have had a large dose of inspiration when he initially created the game.

The game is created by painting a house, map or something else and then cutting it into bits so they can be put back together.

I’ve played the game a couple of times, though it doesn’t exactly catch my fancy anyway. In fact, what goes through my mind most times is, “This is cruelty!”

But the game explains a lot. Life is a big jigsaw puzzle.

As we go through life daily, each move we make is similar to joining a part of the puzzle to the larger piece.

Unfortunately, with this analogy in mind, three things happen over and over again:

1. Some people leave their own puzzles and meddle in someone else’s.

2. Most people solve their puzzles blindfolded.

3. Some watch other people solve their puzzles and talk about it.

When solving the puzzle, there’s usually a completed picture that you can use as reference while you fit the pieces together.

That completed picture is like an expo. In life, you only have access to that expo when the creator of the puzzle himself shows you the way.

But most of us, Christians inclusive, don’t even know who He is, thus the blindfold.

Then there’s the other set of people who take pleasure in controlling your life.

What they don’t know is their own puzzles stay static and don’t get solved until yours’ is completed, no matter how long it takes.

As for the third set, perhaps they’re looking to get a degree in gossipping. Who knows?

Bottom line is, you have a puzzle to solve. How you choose to solve it is up to you. But make right decisions and solve your own jigsaw puzzle. The world is better off that way.
