What are you learning?
Early on in life (it’s not like I’m old anyway), I’ve learnt to draw out lessons from almost every situation, whether favourable or unfavourable. There was a time I used to journal these lessons, but I think I’ve gotten lazy with that part.
This is how I like to learn because it’s a very agile way of gathering new knowledge for growth. I don’t have to wait until I read a book, attend a seminar, or listen to a sermon before I learn something new.
I don’t wait till I purchase a course before I find a solution to a problem I’m experiencing while I work. I ask the Holy Spirit for help, start the search, learn the small bits, start solving, then still purchase that course when funds are available.
Joseph is one individual in the book of Genesis that still amazes me with his growth in leadership and management. Despite the fact that he was initially positioned as a favourite son whose immature actions were probably covered up and dismissed, his transition into slavery gave him an agile climb into leadership. And the Lord was with him all the way. He had the favour and skills.
The Lord is with you too. But self-learning is also key. You need knowledge to reach the heights that God needs you to get to. Start from what you learn during your waking hours and the rest will be added unto you.
