See What You Do As A Channel of Blessing

Awesome things happen when you allow God to guide you.

A few years ago I had my first experience running a Startup. It was a passion project and I knew it was something I had to start. Coming from a family of writers, I started a platform to help authors build authority.

We had active social media channels and there was a community member who would always like and share our Facebook posts.

In team meetings, I’d ask my partner if he knew who this blessing-in-disguise was and he’d shake his head.

On the 13th of May that year, I realised it was also her birthday as it was mine and like a boss, I slid into her DM just to wish her a happy birthday.

I mean, “know your audience, right?” Nothing wrong with that.

One thing led to another and today, we’ve been married for over 2 years. Haha!

Crazy Things Happen When You Say YES

Even though in retrospect, I could have run the Start-Up much better so it could stand the test of time, I’m glad I got started when I did.

As my partner would say, “if the only reason you started this company was so God could lead you to your wife, then it has fulfilled its purpose”.

We always desire to see the end of the tunnel but God just never works that way. He takes us one step after the next because His grand plan is beyond what we could possibly think.

Unfortunately, many of us refuse to start because we can’t see the rest of the way. Our perfectionist minds kick in and once we see a dark spot, we plan and over plan without getting started.

The blessings come with obedience. The first YES opens the door. Each step becomes a channel for more blessings.
