This season is a good time to:
Review the year that’s already rounding up, so we don’t repeat the same mistakes;
Set goals for the new year (not just resolutions) so we know what we’re working towards;
Analyse the work we do, so we know how we need to improve or change in the new year;
Check our hearts and measure our happiness levels (emotional health is important too);
Have a strategic meeting with God and ask Him some serious questions we need answers to;
Make up our minds that we’ll stop typing too many abbreviations in our text messages (not compulsory, but super duper important for language health). It’s called Short Message Service not Abbreviated Message Service. Even my Grandma types her words in full!
And so on and so forth.
This list isn’t everything, but you get the picture. It’s time to go to war with everything we want to change in our lives.
Even if you’ve not done this at all this year, now is a good time. It doesn’t guarantee anything, but it’s just a way to be more intentional about how we re-create our lives.
God was intentional during creation (Genesis 1). We should too.
