“Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.” II Corinthians 12:9 NKJV
Life is full of decisions – some we’re proud of and others we aren’t proud of. It has so many experiences that really determine the rest of our lives. But that’s what gives us permission to seek help.
I once leveraged a business opportunity introduced to me. It was a really good offer and so I jumped on it. With my marketing skills, I was able to build a vast community of hundreds of affiliates in a very short time. But because I didn’t fully understand the business and the product, and the integrity of the founders was questionable, it crumbled leaving me and many others with a traumatic experience I’ve still not recovered from. It stopped me from leveraging other business opportunities, no matter how legit they looked.
While it can be called a thorn in the flesh, it was also a learning curve and a realisation that my knowledge is limited. When I’m able to identify and acknowledge the things I don’t know, I can boldly ask God for help not from fear but from faith, because I know that where I am weak, He can make me strong. It’s the only assurance I need to look trauma in the face and say “You won’t hold me back”.
What negative experiences have you had in the past that you feel may be holding you back from becoming who God wants you to be? What trauma do you need to face and challenge?
Just because you failed the first time doesn’t mean you shouldn’t try again. That failure is the platform that God needs to cause His power to work through you. When you acknowledge your weakness, the power to become rests on you so that you can do the impossible and fulfil your purpose.
You’re unstoppable.
