What do you want to be in future?
Mehn, that question has caused serious havoc. I remember saying I wanted to be an Aeronautical Engineer so I can join the Air Force and build or eventually fly fighter jets like my grand father.
I also wanted to be a mad scientist who would always wear a white lab coat and big goggles, doing multiple experiments and making inventions that blow up in my face.
Then I wanted to be a Civil Engineer because I liked building stuff and appreciated beautiful designs and structures. All this was asides also desiring to be a rapper, poet, professional dancer/choreographer, game designer, writer, chess grandmaster, motivational speaker, and so on. This was simply because I had technical and artistic sides.
I eventually finished school to become a digital marketer with my laptop as my mad science lab, running marketing experiments, building websites, writing, etc.
I’ll always appreciate my parents for allowing my siblings and I explore our many passions. Don’t limit yourself or your children by placing a cap on possibilities. I know life scenarios are different, but when you see an opportunity, give yourself permission to fly.
We don’t serve a stereotype God. The obvious path you see ahead may not always be the right path. Let’s take things one step at a time and trust the process. At this point, what other people tell me about what I could be later in life really doesn’t matter as much as the next right step I need to take. I take the advise but continue on my next steps.
Joseph the dreamer could’ve been advised to become the proud owner of a Dream Interpretation Consulting Agency, with a $3million seed fund, but God had plans for him in Government.
People will try to predict your future based on who you are and what you’re doing now. God knows your future based on who you were created to be.
So who would you rather trust?
