God desires that we empower one another to do exploits. He wants an army of believers that can face anything and win, fighting from the standpoint of victory. But we can’t do that if we don’t agree with one another.
It’s difficult working with people that have very different personalities from us. Sometimes we get misinterpreted, or we misinterpret others. It takes a level of maturity and vulnerability to settle our differences and move on.
For example, I have issues with people who disregard the ideas of others, forgetting that I too once saw my own ideas as the ultimate. I would enter a meeting, share my own ideas, dish out responsibilities and move on. But experience has taught me to keep my ideas in my head, let others share their ideas and harmonise everything into a unified action plan. Sometimes, I don’t even need to share mine.
Living in unity with those we work with isn’t easy, but it is possible. Love God, love your neighbour and you’re good to go.

How does unity help us do exploits at work?
I once had a leader who knew how to spot loopholes in a plan and would send us back to do our homework or basically overrule it with an idea he felt was superior.
So we got wiser as a team. Before going to meet him, we would discuss and fix every possible loophole so that when we eventually met him, our plans were so foolproof that he would agree almost on the spot. That’s the power of unity. Others used to get angry at his eye for perfection, but I understood the secret and used it every time.

Part of living in harmony with others is to identify how best we can serve others on a daily basis. Sometimes, when I realise my wife is on the edge, I know I need to be the calm and level-headed one that day.
So, write this in your journal and be intentional about it today.
