Power Up Your SPIRIT
“I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit.”
Ephesians 3:16 NLT
I love this verse because it reminds me that God’s Spirit can empower me. I know it is a weird concept to understand, but let’s look at it this way.
A cup is still a cup even when it has no water inside it. When a meeting of cups is called, it has every right to show up because it is qualified. The cup still has value because it’s a finished product.
But when it becomes filled with water, what happens?
The cup’s value just went up.
Now, the cup is useful.
Now, the cup is filled with something that will nourish someone else.
The cup can’t drink its water but can bask in the value received because it can’t be thrown away.
If the cup decides to keep its lid on, what happens?
It can’t be filled with water.
It can’t nourish someone else.
It has limited its value growth.
You and I are this cup. When we become empowered with God’s spirit, we nourish others and enjoy the value that comes our way.
Also, the good thing is that we don’t need a lid because we have access to unlimited resources.
When it looks like we’ve run out of water, we can ask for more.
Remove that lid. Ask for more.

How can you be more useful at work today?
Remember that a cup can only nourish one person at a time. For it to nourish multiple people, it needs a system.
That system can be for the cup to have two straws in it so that two people can get nourished simultaneously.
Or it can pour its water into five other cups, give them two straws each and have ten people drink from them.
A system helps you multiply your efforts. I didn’t have systems for a long time, so I exhausted myself trying to do the job of multiple people.
A system is a collection of processes and procedures that help you get almost predictable results.
Today, determine the results you want. Then, set up the system.
