Power Up Your SPIRIT
“May God, who gives this patience and encouragement, help you live in complete harmony with each other, as is fitting for followers of Christ Jesus.”
Romans 15:5 NLT
I made the decision to leave my previous local church two years before I finally did.
If I were given the choice, I would have left immediately. But God had other plans. He knew that if I left immediately, I would leave with the wrong heart.
So, what did He do?
He made me open up to my Pastor about my intentions, and the result of that was a two-year mentorship on how to exit without leaving a void.
At the beginning of this two-year period, I had lost all motivation, I was bitter towards others, frustrated, and unfulfilled.
After two years, my heart overflowed with compassion for the team, I genuinely prayed for them and the love in my heart helped me to trust them better.
What made the difference?
I experienced the power of God’s patience and encouragement, while He changed the way I saw and felt towards others.
Quiet quitting in a workplace happens when you mentally sign out of the work, long before finally turning in your resignation.
It’s the same for relationships – the breakup already occurred before it was verbally expressed.
What good work have you mentally disconnected from due to negative feelings in your heart?
An inner transformation is on the way. Allow God to work in you.
Hack Your BODY
How can we enjoy God’s patience and encouragement at work, even when we want to leave?
It all starts with motivation. Why do you want to experience God’s patience and encouragement?
It’s always easy to storm out of an organisation and raise the middle finger at everyone in it.
I’ve done that too. And sometimes, it can be tempting to repeat because it’s so easy and convenient.
But when God works in us, He does it to transform us because He knows that we can’t afford to stay the same way.
So, the first step is to change our perspective. The question becomes, “If I must leave here whole, what must I focus on?”
You may need to be coached or mentored, read a book or listen to something that guides you through this.
That new focus then fuels your motivation and comes with patience and encouragement because you’ll need a lot of it.
Your transformation process could be as short as six months or even two years like mine.
The result?
You’ll see people differently and you’ll become different. At that point, you become ready for your next season.
So, calm down. God is at work in you.
Grow Your SOUL
“An upcoming event or situation that might stress me out if I don’t prepare well or remind myself to be intentional and in control of my thoughts and feelings is…”

Even with all the patience and encouragement, you need to monitor your thoughts, or else, you’ll go down a rabbit hole of negativity.
What are those work scenarios that happen frequently but remind you to be bitter, negative, or frustrated? Write them down and take note of how you would prefer to react.
