For with God nothing will be impossible.” Luke 1:37 NKJV
I remember this anchor scripture when playing the card game and having the Joker card in hand. With that card, you can become anything and do whatever you want. Within the confines of the game, you become unstoppable.
Over the years, we have exalted “self” and shown that man can break boundaries. But we’ve only scratched the surface. I say this because:
- It doesn’t matter the exploits you’ve done…you can do more. We are still yet to reach the boundaries of possibility because what we thought was impossible centuries ago has now become possible. Watch out for the next 1000 years if Jesus tarries.
- Your current limitations don’t matter. Even if you are placed in a role beyond your qualification, as long as you have God and yield to His Spirit, naysayers have nothing on you.
So the next time you say the word, “It’s not possible”, pause and rethink. Have you added the God factor?
BODY
Can we do the impossible at work?
Yes, we sure can. But the intent is important. If you are trying to do the impossible so that people validate you, you can end up driving yourself to the end of a cliff and throwing yourself over. That is an exhausting reason to allow drive you.
If you are trying to do the impossible because of a deep belief that you are filled with the Holy Spirit, your results will glorify God and still preserve your sanity. He will show you how to do things in moderation.

In the first half of 2023, my answer to this would be “my local church”. But now, after my exit (I shared the story here), I realise how much time it demanded and why I need to be more intentional about my commitments when I accept a new responsibility elsewhere. In what areas are you overcommitted?
