“His lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.’” Matthew 25:21 NKJV
While on campus, I wrote an article for my fellowship magazine titled, “What do you have in your hand?” It emphasised that we all have something small that God has blessed us with. And it’s only when we use this that more can be committed into our hands.
As common sense as this may sound, not everyone agrees with it. You can have all the gifts in the world yet still look externally to yourself for help.
You can be placed in a position to oversee little and still complain about the fact that you weren’t given bigger resources to do bigger results. Where you are, are there results?
You can be the smartest person in class but still seek validation from other people because of past trauma and background experiences. We always seek things we don’t have because we believe that’s the missing link.
But the more minor responsibilities make room for bigger ones. Deliver in the small ones so the opportunity for fame and glory can open up.
As you restructure your organisation and enter into new seasons, explore avenues to reward loyal team members who have delivered on the small things with the right heart.
Sure, you can’t see intent, but reward all the same. And I pray that you reward rightly, even as you grow your craft and attract more loyal people to your circles.
