Leverage The Trust Catalyst As You Work

“Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, and whose hope is the Lord. [8] For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters, Which spreads out its roots by the river, And will not fear when heat comes; But its leaf will be green, And will not be anxious in the year of drought, Nor will cease from yielding fruit.” Jeremiah 17:7-8 NKJV

In every chemical reaction, there’s a catalyst that speeds it up. When this catalyst is added, what should have taken one year gets done in minutes.

In some organisations, people are catalysts. When such people join, their ideas and ways of working speed up many processes, achieving results.

It’s easy to think that our results depend only on our efforts. This is why, when we want a certain result, we first determine how much effort we need to put in.

This is valid, but we must also remember the catalyst. Our efforts won’t yield much without the catalyst, especially when the environment isn’t conducive, as you can see in the anchor verse.

When you add the catalyst of TRUST IN GOD into the current mix of daily activities, watch the resultant reaction. It could blow up beyond expectation.

How can we use this catalyst for exceptional work results?

The Trust catalyst does not nullify the importance of planning, preparation, and putting in effort. If you add a catalyst to an empty flask with no chemical reagents, it’ll do nothing. There must be something it must work with.

This is why God dislikes laziness. Proverbs 21:25 says, “The desire of the lazy man kills him, for his hands refuse to labour.”

When you desire to start a project you’re passionate about and you put in the effort, remember that it’s not just effort that brings results.

We also can’t just pray about it but then continue with the consciousness that results are dependent on us.

We show trust in God by not allowing external circumstances to affect our internal resolve. Trust in God means that if the economy seems bad, customers aren’t coming, costs are piling up, and people start turning their backs on us, we know that God is still at the centre, and our dreams will become reality.

This way, when others say there’s a casting down, we work daily saying there’s a lifting up. This is how we permit God to direct our paths (Proverbs 3:6).

“I put my trust in God, not my efforts.”
