In marketing, there’s a strategy called “content repurposing,” where you turn one piece of content into several others that still convey the message you want.
In DIY, we also use this repurposing method to transform waste into beautiful, usable household decor. For example, transforming an old car tyre into a sofa.
It baffles me how the devil can successfully manipulate God’s creation to do his bidding without having the inherent ability to create anything new. He is a master at repurposing.
Because he can do this, if we’re not watchful, he can successfully change us so that we start to allow vices to thrive in our hearts, just like he did with the church in Corinth.
But being on guard and standing on our foundation of faith helps us recognise his moves and make the right decisions guided by the Holy Spirit. He is constantly stealing, killing, and destroying gifts daily, and we can’t let him.
How can our work stay on purpose?
To stay “on purpose” is not to deviate from the original reason something was created. A chair stays on purpose when used for sitting and not as a workbench.
Habakkuk 2:1 says, “I will climb up to my watchtower and stand at my guard post.” To stay “on purpose” is to remain sensitive to know when you’re going off track. And the only way to do that is through prayer.
It’s impossible to stay “on purpose” without a daily refresh of purpose alignment. We don’t take prayer seriously because we believe we work for ourselves. Once we have money, food, clothes, and shelter, then all is well.
This is where we’ve missed it because that’s off-purpose. The gifts we use to work and produce results must have the intent to please God and serve others. All other things will be added to us. Self-service is not on purpose. But this is one of the enemy’s tweaks, so we lose focus. We feel there’s no need to pray with proper economic systems that take us off track.
God’s agenda for what He has placed inside us is bigger than anything we can think of. If we can break away from our limited viewpoint and reach for the depths of His wisdom, we’ll tap into His desires for us and fulfil our purpose.

Even in your perfect system, your work can transcend your personal needs and desires, allowing you to contribute to fulfilling God’s will.
