Passion projects are close to my heart. They are opportunities to invest our resources, time, and talents in serving others and building relationships. It’s a chance to use everything God has placed inside us to benefit those around us.
While the verse from Proverbs might seem to refer to financial investments, its message goes beyond money. It’s about investing in people and relationships, and we do this by scattering—by sharing our time, talents, and resources with others.
My wife’s lifestyle beautifully illustrates the principle of scattering and increasing. She scatters her love, care, and support by investing her time in encouraging others, praying with friends, and transforming lives. As a result, when she needs it, love and encouragement come back to her abundantly.
How can we give more of ourselves through our work?
The anchor scripture carries a powerful message about generosity and abundance. It’s a reminder that when we hold back, we limit the flow of blessings in our lives. But when we give abundantly, we open ourselves up to receiving even more.
When we stifle what God has placed inside us and refuse to share it with others, we hinder our growth and miss out on the abundance that comes from giving. We are called to use our gifts and resources in every aspect of our lives—whether in our careers, relationships, or personal endeavours—to serve and bless others.
Building passion projects, no matter how small, compels us to share our unique gifts with the world. It pushes us to scatter our love, talents, and resources generously. As we do, we watch the impact of our giving ripple outward, creating opportunities to increase and thrive.

Let’s start by assessing the unique gifts God has blessed us with and determining how we can scatter them to bless others. It’s not about waiting until a specific moment in the future, but about cultivating a lifestyle of generosity here and now.
We actively choose wealth over poverty by intentionally sharing our time, talents, resources, and love. The key is to be willing vessels, ready to scatter and bless others, knowing that in doing so, we open ourselves up to receive even more in return. This is the path to true abundance, and it’s a journey we can all choose to embark on today.
