Have you ever read a book, listened to a song, looked at a painting, or engaged in a simple conversation with someone and afterwards, you suddenly felt like going to God to pray and ask many questions?
I’ve experienced this several times. One event that stands out occurred when I struggled to discover my purpose.
My dad is a published author and has written multiple articles and books on purpose discovery. One afternoon, while reading his book, I got so angry at the confusion I felt that I stood up and queried God immediately, asking multiple questions in one.
To my dismay, He answered me in split seconds, leaving me shocked but with more clarity. The work my dad had done drew me back to God.
This tells me that it’s possible for the work we do to bring those we serve back to God. Imagine being a financial advisor, and your good work causes your clients to reconcile with God, being grateful for the wealth they have now acquired through your advice.
How can we ensure our work leads to reconciliation and builds God’s kingdom?
For this to happen, we must start at the beginning, asking ourselves why we do what we do.
When we choose to build businesses or side projects around our passions, it’s because there’s a burning desire in our hearts that we feel the urge to fulfil.
When we patiently reflect on that desire and try to understand why we have it, we sieve through the shaft to uncover the primary purpose.
This primary purpose is often rooted in what God would have us do. When we let this drive the work we eventually engage in, God uses our results to reconcile hearts to Him. It’s a phenomenon we can’t explain.
God can use any work to fulfil His will. You don’t have to be in the creative industry. Get the intent right, and that passion project might just be what God needs to win more souls.

No matter what you do, there’s a hidden transformation potential you’re yet to tap into. Each day allows me to see what God wants to do through me.
Open your heart to what God wants to do through you, and new dimensions will unfold with every action.
