I have had stressful seasons where my only escape was my quiet time with God. I would play worship songs and sing along at dawn before anyone else woke up.
Those moments of solitude continue to be my most priceless moments, and I always wish I had more time to spend in His presence.
Life gets difficult sometimes, and we all need a way to escape. Unfortunately, some escape methods are more harmful than helpful. Taking alcohol, becoming aggressive, and engaging in vices are some escape routes fashioned by the enemy to seemingly make such stressful seasons go away. But they don’t.
Fellowshipping with God doesn’t make such seasons disappear either. Instead, you receive joy and strength to go through them.
How do we receive God’s help when work becomes a major stressor?
For the author of the anchor scripture, work translated to conquering territories and leading the people as King. Like any other type of work, this has its downtimes.
Fellowshipping with God doesn’t just lead to inner peace and overflowing joy. But we also receive direction, and wisdom to live out God’s will concerning the matter at hand.
Just being in His presence, praising and giving thanks opens doors to breakthroughs. Oftentimes you won’t need to make direct requests before they get answered.
In difficult times, we are the ones who often move away from God because we feel He isn’t there for us. But drawing closer to Him makes us realize that He’s already on the case at hand, while He strengthens and protects us on the way.

Your intent is important. When you desire to draw close to God and trust Him but feel like time and the circumstances around keep working against you, a path will be revealed.
Outline some actions you will take from today to draw closer and receive God’s help so that like David, your heart leaps for joy and praises to God never leave your lips.
