Sometimes we make excuses for the things we can’t do because we’re not ready to pay the price required.
We see the inability as obstacles when truly, these obstacles only exist in our minds. They’re not real.
One of the speakers at The Platform Tech by Covenant Nation about 3 years ago titled her message, “How Bad Do You Want It?” As I sat in the audience and heard her speak, everything started to make sense.
Until we’re ready to pay the price for what we want, we don’t really want it. It’s self deception to think you really want something, but yet encourage the indiscipline that’s stopping you.
You want to get closer to God, but you give excuses about why you can’t pray or fast, or read a scripture a day.
You want to earn an extra income but you say because of the economy, you can’t go for that seminar, or implement the free advice online.
I would’ve mentioned weight loss, but I’m not ready to shake that table right now…*walking away.
The truth? You don’t want it as bad as you think.
God created our minds in a wonderful way. It has the ability to search out possible solutions to a problem when you truly become restless about something. But when the zeal isn’t there, it relaxes.
What are you looking to achieve? And how bad do you want it? Those obstacles can be eliminated, no matter how big they look. There’s always a way.
