Why do we excel in our careers, businesses and other endeavours?
It’s not because of that new certification we receive after going through a program. The certification does nothing unless it is used.
We grow because we’ve gotten deeper in knowledge, skill and the ability to implement. We’re able to leverage our connections for specific benefits because we’ve built deeper relationships with them.
Understand that to grow up, we have to grow deep. A preacher once said that the “height of a building is not dependent on how many bricks you mount, but on the depth of its foundation.”
The only reason you can tell a physically grown man to “grow up” isn’t because he isn’t of age, but his level of maturity is still too shallow.
If you’re not getting the pay grade you feel you deserve, or the respect, fame, glory, appreciation or success that you desire, it’s because you’re not yet deep enough in something.
Your outward growth is only a representation of the internal growth that people cannot see. Luke 2:52.
