It’s important that you approach every new feat, every new level, every new exploit looking like you were ready for it.
It’s the reason why entrepreneurs sometimes redesign their websites just before a major product launch.
It’s the reason why a business would tweak their brand a little so that it reflects new internal developments. Customers become wowed and think they planned it from the very beginning.
It’s the reason why children want new clothes for Christmas in preparation for the new year. So that all through the new year, they’re putting on their Christmas clothes knowing that those clothes will “expire” in a couple of months…as if money grows on trees..lol!
This is also why in some organisations, a new promotion means you purchasing a set of expensive clothes just so that you “look the part”.
It’s no wonder why in Ruth 3:3, Ruth had to feel, smell and look good in preparation for Boaz. Or why Joseph in Genesis 41:14 did the same when his rare expertise was needed.
But beyond the physical, you also have to “sound the part”. Your self confidence and perception have to be top notch.
The final part of the puzzle is to acquire the knowledge needed at that new level. This will help you “act the part” too.
Be like Joseph and Ruth – look, sound and act the part, without going bankrupt (emphasis on the last 3 words).
