Do you sometimes feel tired, burnt out, down on your luck, and out of options? We all do. Sometimes I wonder if what I’m doing is worth it.
I have a morning routine where I wake up at the same time almost every day so I can get ready for the day ahead. Sometimes, I want to sleep in like everybody else, which does happen on some days.
I don’t think there’s anyone who is always on 100% daily: recharged, never discouraged, zero negativity, and constantly tapping into the supernatural. I’d like to meet this person.
But God, who isn’t human, is always 100%. He never messes up, always showing up whenever we need Him. The anchor scripture is His way of saying, “Even when you’re at 20%, I’m here to fill you up to 100%.”
How can we stay constantly recharged for work with God’s faithfulness?
The keyword is TRUST because He is faithful. Sometimes we also doubt that God can do what He says. We doubt not because He has disappointed us before, but because we may lack the strength to trust Him.
So doubt comes as an excuse for the work we don’t want to put in. We dismiss His ability and choose to stay on the level we’re at.
But faith says that when in doubt, try God. We do the opposite of what doubt is saying to us. Knowing that we have an endless supply of energy somewhere, our best bet is to always head to that location to get more.
Even on days when we’re 100% and feel we can conquer the day, we go to Him to show gratitude for being full that day.
Work requires energy, and God has an endless supply of it. He’s always up because He knows we can be down. When that happens, His hands are outstretched, waiting to give us a refill each morning.
Don’t rely on the energy of yesterday. It passed away when you went to sleep. It’s a new day, and we can always use a fresh drink.
“I stay recharged daily on God’s word.”
Although God’s word doesn’t expire, we stay refreshed when we revisit it daily. It’s like a daily reminder of what we have access to.
Our memories fail us, especially during downtimes. But to stay up, we must always look up.
