The purpose of the Spirit of God is not to enable us live selfish lives. No!
The main purpose is to lead us as we accomplish our God-given assignments. This is why we have received an excellent spirit to enable us have easy access to the people who matter at different levels in our lives (like Daniel in Daniel 6:3).
As a Comforter, He is not here to just tell us sorry when we weep, but to comfort us in all areas of life (John 14:16).
According to the dictionary, a Comforter is someone who helps you to feel less worried, upset, frightened, etc.
So, He can help you feel less scared when you don’t know what to say to that customer by actually putting the words in your mouth. He becomes your voice.
He can help you feel less anxious when you don’t know what to wear by giving you the right outfit. He becomes your fashion designer.
He can help you feel less ignorant when you don’t know what investments to make by showing you the most lucrative markets. He becomes your financial advisor.
In the end, all He does is comfort you.
