Power Up Your SPIRIT
“So is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.”

Words aren’t ordinary.
If our lives are shaped by our words, then it’s safe to say that these words are potent and dangerous.
Sometimes, I imagine the word of God as a living being that never sleeps, but is constantly moving across the universe, making things happen according to what was spoken.
And then I remember that yes, God’s word is alive.
It takes audacity and belief to know that what you say is powerful and will always happen. This is the kind of confidence God has in what He says, and He wants us to trust what He says.
He wants us to have that same confidence in His word, just as He does. If God for once doubted His words, it would be wrong to expect us to trust. But that’s not the case.
So, this is a call to action. What has God said about you that you’ve doubted? What word have you received that seems impossible?
Don’t base belief in God’s word on feelings, but commitment.

How can we build confidence in our words as we work?
One word pops out when I read the anchor scripture…
INTEGRITY.
Many of us don’t trust ourselves to do what we say but we expect others to trust us. It doesn’t work that way.
I used to work for someone who almost never fulfilled his promises. Yet every time he makes a new promise, he’d expect me to trust him.
After some years, it became more difficult to take his words seriously and he lost some of my respect. He’s a great person and a smart entrepreneur, but his integrity level was low.
Words can be used to manipulate others into doing what we want, without us fulfilling our end of the bargain. As givers of light, that goes against our nature.
If our Father takes His words seriously, we should too. Integrity isn’t just a buzzword. It’s a virtue that yields dividends. It is key to living fulfilled daily because you know you’re fulfilling promises made to yourself and others.
If we want our words to never come back to us void, then we must begin to see them as living beings that have a reputation to protect and live up to.
We must not let other “living beings” make jest of the one that comes from our mouth. Let’s take our words seriously, and other people will align.

If you made a promise to yourself or someone else about something that will be done today, write it down and plan how you’d fulfil it.
