Power Up Your SPIRIT
Happy are those who remain faithful under trials, because when they succeed in passing such a test, they will receive as their reward the life which God has promised to those who love him.
James 1:12 GNT
Over the last decade of my career, I have had good experiences and bad ones, just like you. I’ve met great people and those whom no human should ever encounter.
I was once asked if I had any regrets concerning the decisions I’ve made in the past, and my answer was “No”. In hindsight, every decision has made me who I am today. The best I can do is be grateful for the trials because that’s the only way to see the lessons in each circumstance and recognise the role that God played in it all.
With this experience, it becomes easy to trust God ahead when you spot a trial looming. As you find the lessons in your past and observe your present, your muscles become stronger, and you overcome challenges more gracefully.
Remember this: the blessing behind every trial comes when you pass through that trial with a positive mindset and dependence on God.
What is the blessing?
It’s a transformation – your transformation. It’s time to stop being a caterpillar and get ready to grow wings.
Hack Your BODY
How can we endure trials at work and receive blessings?
What do you do when a colleague is out to get at you, or the work culture is so overwhelming that it chokes you?
In some instances, I let the external situation influence my actions. This was in my early days. As I matured, I learned to put boundaries and allow God to work on my heart.
You can set boundaries like controlling when you can be reached or putting apps like WhatsApp in deep sleep, so you’re not tempted to answer every work request after hours.
You can also control who you interact with by only engaging in positive conversations and not malicious ones.
Boundaries help you manage the situation and your mental health until you get a lasting solution that will transform your experience during that trial. Sometimes, the instruction might be to change your environment.
Whatever the situation might be, do your best to make decisions that your future will be grateful for.
Grow Your SOUL
“The greatest opportunity in my life right now that I am so grateful for is…”

Being in a cocoon is a trying time for a caterpillar because it’s stagnant. But it is also a great opportunity for growth. I’m grateful for the transition period that my career is in. It gives me the opportunity to create the future I want.
What cocoon are you in right now? Are you complaining about it or being grateful for it? Choose gratitude. Journal your experience and watch the transformation.
