Whatever may be happening today is a manifestation of what happened yesterday and a determinant of what could happen tomorrow.
For this reason alone, the wailing question, “Why is this happening to me?” isn’t valid.
I call it a wailing question because we never really ask that question calmly. And the answer is usually either of these two:
– It’s a result of what we did yesterday.
– It’s a result of what we didn’t do yesterday.
There’s no point trying to figure out what you did or didn’t do yesterday. It’s a waste of time and energy. That’s why that question doesn’t help your matter in any way.
Your primary question should be, “What do I need to do today?”
Your answer to that question will be determined by what you want to see tomorrow.
Tomorrow is a manifestation of what happens today.
