Ever notice that when you mull over something and are crippled by indecision or analysis-paralysis, time seems to move faster?
You want to register for that program but you stay at a spot comparing the pros and cons. Before you know it, the deadline hits you hard.
Or you are about to launch that new project but because you’re a perfectionist, something always needs tweaking. Two months after the proposed launch date you’re still “improving” the project.
I once worked on a product for 6 months that I never launched. I created the videos, set up the marketing tech and when it was time to hit the red button, it suddenly looked imperfect. All the work went poof!
How about this newsletter? I started and quit it 3 times. When I finally received instruction in January 2022 to start it again, guess when I relaunched?
April! And the simple reason was fear.
Your Staff Is In Your Hand
What stands in front of you might look like the red sea between the Israelites and the promise. But even God knew that what they needed then wasn’t to cry to Him but to move, using what He had given them.
The fulfilment of purpose is not just a destination but a journey. Each day has a purpose and momentum helps you fulfil it.
The obstacle in front of us always looks scary and insurmountable. So we get stuck where we are and sometimes, validate why we’re still at that spot.
We fill our to-do lists with work that’s only created to avoid what we really should be working on.
We then get busy, time flies and with every passing day, your heart keeps reminding you that nothing you’re doing makes sense.
In marketing, a call to action is an instruction to the prospect to make a definite decision.
For you, the call to action that you need to take could be to launch that product, apply for that new job, quit that current job, start that business, act on that divine instruction, write that book, etc.
Whatever it is, you can call yourself to action and cross your red sea. I’m learning to do the same.
