“…because God is always at work in you to make you willing and able to obey his own purpose.” Philippians 2:13 GNT
The customer who is willing (has the intent) and able (has the resources) to purchase a product or service is the one businesses target. That customer is actually helping the business meet its objectives.
Just having the will isn’t enough. Many of us have the will to do something but keep wondering why it doesn’t get done. The simple reason is a lack of ability to do.
Having only ability also isn’t enough. A wealthy billionaire who isn’t willing to end poverty in his community will just not make the resources available for it.
The sweet spot is when will and ability meet. This is the area God likes to function from.
When you realise you have an assignment to accomplish, a process starts inside of you. God knows that from inception, your will and ability may not be absolute, so He starts working on your will while providing the resources needed.
You’re never forced or compelled to do the work. Instead, you reach a point where a combination of several life events causes you to take the first step and then several steps after that.
With every step, He helps your faith by providing the resources needed to complete each step, so you’ll again be willing to take the next, and the next.
You’ll realise that at every step of the way, as long as you’re willing, you’ll just have the strength, intellect, knowledge, relationships or finance needed to accomplish that task.
But in order to be willing to do the work, you have to yield. The will doesn’t come by telling yourself “I can do it”. It comes when you allow God to start working in you.
You may have dreams, projects you passionately want to start, and lives you want to positively influence, but for some reason, your will isn’t strong enough to allow you to put in the work and you’re depressed by the lack of ability that your eyes can see. You hit the objective only when you’re willing and able.
Let the Spirit start working in you while you do the rest.
