A magnet has properties that attracts magnets and other materials with those properties to itself (for example, metals with magnetic properties such as iron, cobalt and nickel).
A magnet doesn’t attract wood, clay, sand, water or air.
So why do we want to attract everybody, regardless of the qualities and values they possess?
It is not by force to be friends with someone forever. A metal can lose its magnetic properties when it gets heated. What this means is it’ll no longer be attracted to magnets.
For some, when they pass through fire (hard times), they’ll lose those qualities that kept your relationship alive. For others, those qualities may become stronger.
The people you work with have specific qualities. The customers you serve have theirs as well. Colleagues, friends and customers come and go. Life just happens.
There’s no need to kill yourself just because someone said goodbye. Get a grip and look for the next person to attract. You’re a magnet, so attract wisely.
