Power Up Your SPIRIT
[13] “Go in through the narrow gate because the gate to hell is wide and the road that leads to it is easy, and there are many who travel it. [14] But the gate to life is narrow and the way that leads to it is hard, and there are few people who find it.”
Matthew 7:13-14 GNT
When I started as an entrepreneur, I went after every get-rich-quick scheme online. The result was I didn’t get rich quickly and wasted a lot of time pursuing shiny objects.
After a while, I settled down and started doing things the right way – getting clients, driving revenue, managing teams, and everything that could potentially stress you out.
But from both seasons, I learned valuable lessons that helped me in future seasons. The first season looked like the easy way, but eventually it wasn’t.
And this is what Jesus tries to tell us in the anchor scripture. There’s a way that seems right and easy, but it’ll eventually destroy and waste your time and resources. So why bother?
Jesus says He’s the gate, and if we really want to get what we want and what God wants for us, He’s the better way. But we also must set our expectations because it won’t be easy.
This is why He sent the Holy Spirit, to be everything to us depending on the situation. He’s our hype-man when he needs to be and the teacher with the cane when we err.
This way, we master how to travel the hard path, and, in the end, it becomes worth it.
Hack Your BODY
Should we reject faster ways to get what we want?
Good isn’t always hard.
Evil isn’t always easy.
Sometimes they’re flipped.
“Hard” and “easy” used in the anchor scripture aren’t literal. They only explain the different types of discipline you’ll need to adopt.
The question to ask is, who am I listening to?
Jesus told his disciples what side of the boat to fish from for a heavy catch. The miracle was instant.
Satan told Jesus to turn stone into bread and quench his hunger. That would have been instant too.
Both scenarios were easy, but there were different teachers.
The Holy Spirit has a ton of hacks up his sleeve. Depending on the season you’re in and your relationship, there are some blessings you won’t struggle for.
In fact, when people ask you how you got so lucky, it might be hard to explain the details.
The answer lies in knowing what you want and what your conscience says about the path you want to take.

The way we deal with obstacles reveals more about who we are. If there’s a challenge you’re facing right now, you only need to take note of how you’ll deal with it – the right way or the other way.
