Sometimes it’s hard to imagine that the natural man has limits. With the inventions and recent technologies springing up consistently, one would think we created this universe.
But the fact is that the natural man has limits. This is why people turn to supernatural means (diabolical or not) to move past those limits and become beings without boundaries. Yet with this, certain supernatural mediums also have limits.
To have a name that is above every other name is to have unlimited access to all of creation. This is who Christ has become after His work of redemption for man. But if He is limitless, how does the natural man become limitless too?
To validate this scripture, you first must die to self. You do this by yielding or surrendering. This isn’t a one-day task or simply a confession you make with your mouth. You can think you have yielded because you follow the instructions that you divinely receive, but if you always feel you’re better than your colleague, you’ve not surrendered completely.
You also need to realise that the word “I” in that focus verse is not an affirmation of natural ability but a recognition that you are a vessel through whom Christ will work.
Becoming a vessel is an intentional lifelong action and we must constantly remind ourselves that we can only do all things if we make the decision to become like Christ daily.
Today’s Task: Ask the Holy Spirit to show you areas of your life that you haven’t surrendered and pray for the grace to rely on Jesus Christ intentionally.
