SPIRIT
“He helps us in all our troubles, so that we are able to help others who have all kinds of troubles, using the same help that we ourselves have received from God.”
2 Corinthians 1:4 GNT
When we go through pain, the last thing we want to hear is that God has a purpose for it. But I’ve realised that we are always set up to best help those who are currently going through something we have previously encountered.
The message I write in my newsletters didn’t just materialise out of need but from my experiences and struggles with work addiction. Some things I have overcome and some I still struggle with. But nobody else will do it the way I would because we are all different.
God is systematic, and He’s more interested in multiplication than dormancy. Every time you receive God’s comfort, your ability for impact increases.
When you share your victories and failures with others, they become testimonies that lead back to God.
That’s the work He has given us all to do. Find the right channel for this, and you’ll have a fulfilling life.
BODY
How can I share God’s comfort with others through my work?
We don’t all have to be Writers, Entrepreneurs, Pastors, or Public speakers. But we all have a message. Some take their pain of loss and use painting to show how love can heal the loss.
Some take their struggles with unemployment to become HR professionals because they believe that everyone has a God-given gift that can be developed, just as God helped them.
Some take years of service to an ailing parent and become Doctors to spread the same compassion of God that they’ve received so much from Him.
And some take the lack they experienced and work with the Government as tax collectors to show that abundance is not defined by the bribe you collect, the business revenue you hoard or the law you disobey but through the God that rewards righteousness with wealth in miraculous ways.
Whenever these people tell their stories, anyone who hears will see God in everything. How has God comforted you in the past?

Lessons are born from experiences. If you can find the lessons in the pain you’ve gone through, you’re halfway there. Once you apply those lessons, you’re headed for greatness.
Take a moment to think about your answer and write it down. It might just be a pointer to your next project.
