“From the day Joseph was put in charge of his master’s household and property, the Lord began to bless Potiphar’s household for Joseph’s sake. All his household affairs ran smoothly, and his crops and livestock flourished.” Genesis 39:5 NLT
When a man is blessed, even the little effort he puts in leads to astounding results. You may not be the smartest or the most qualified person in the room, but the blessing amplifies whatever you carry.
Some people join an organisation and cause things to grow and flourish. Yes, they put in the work and strive to get results, but you notice that bad luck seems so far away.
Some act like weeds, threatening the very existence of the organisation and the lives of those in it. Sometimes this is caused by toxic behaviour, envy, mediocrity and others.
The Spirit of God can’t function in an environment filled with negativity, lack of excellence or complacency because that’s not who God is. But the moment you choose to transform what you think about and your disposition into what is positive and good, something else takes over.
A seed needs to be planted so that it can be blessed with water, air and light to aid germination. Without this blessing, the seed dies without germinating or has stunted growth. This isn’t good for any organisation.
Do you desire the blessing of the Lord to be evident through you at work? If you do, then what seeds are you planting? What talents, gifts, and strengths are you leveraging to do good work? I haven’t always planted the right seeds in the past, but I believe being intentional about what happens next is a step in the right direction.
The seed you need isn’t in someone else’s pockets. It’s not in space or in that new shiny toy you think you need to acquire. It’s within reach – in your hands. Identify that seed, plant it, nurture it and let the blessing work in your life.
