How do you “find” purpose?
I’ve watched quite a number of movies with storylines about someone looking for something. Whether it’s some dudes trying to search out old treasure hidden beneath the Atlantic; or a lady searching for true love despite being surrounded by annoying guys; or a wealthy guy searching for happiness, etc.
Those storylines are usually interesting because we can relate. We’re always on a quest.
But the way you start out on a quest is dependent on what you’re looking for. Every treasure hunter gets a map first.
In finding (or discovering) purpose, you have to start that quest with a guide and Proverbs 3:5-6 clearly explains the guide you need.
When you start with your guide, what next? Those who eventually live with purpose didn’t start by just sitting and asking with pride. They started by serving. Purpose is not an endgame, it’s continuous through service.
Who are you serving today?
